Population in 2018 estimated at 200,813,818 million growing at 1.9% per annum, making Pakistan the world’s 6th most populous country.

23.12 million are Blind and Visually Impaired that is 13% of the total population
1.9 million Blind of which 81% or 1.56 million are Curable.
Additional 197,000 become blind every year.
19.5 million have Impaired Vision.


Rs8000 ($ 58) average monthly income per capita.

1 of 3 people live on less than Rs 3500 ($25) per month and 91% of this is spent on food.

Another 1 out of 3 lives on less than Rs6000 ($43) per month. With the rise in food prices, they have also been driven below the poverty line.
