This privacy notice discloses the privacy practices for the Episcopal Church in Western Oregon and its websites. This privacy notice applies solely to information collected by this website. It will notify you of the following:

We are the sole owners of the information collected on this site. We only have access to/collect information that you voluntarily give us via direct contact from you. We will not sell or rent this information to anyone.

We will use your information to respond to you regarding the reason you contacted us. We will not share your information with any third party outside of our organization other than as necessary to fulfill your request, e.g. to subscribe you to our newsletter, except that we may provide your information to partner organizations related to your order or your registration with us. Once we provide your information to a third party, the content is subject to their privacy policy, and we will have no means to control the use of your data. If you do not wish for your information to be shared with partner organizations, you may contact us by phone or email to request that we not share it.

Unless you ask us not to, we may contact you via email in the future to tell you about diocesan news, upcoming events, or changes to this privacy policy.

    Comments

    When visitors leave comments or complete forms on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

    An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

    Cookies

    Donations and Registration Payments

    We request information from you on our donation form. To make a donation to support ministries of the Episcopal Church in Western Oregon, you must provide contact information (like name and billing address) and financial information (like credit card number, and expiration date). This information is used for billing purposes, to fill your orders, or to acknowledge your gift. If we have trouble processing an order or donation, we’ll use this information to contact you.

    Event and Newsletter Registration

    In order to receive newsletters, register for conferences, or submit news and event information, a user must complete a registration or contact form. In this form a user is required to give certain information (such as name and email address). This information is used to contact you about the event, product, or news submission site in which you have expressed interest. In some instances, you may also provide demographic information (such as gender or age) about yourself, but it is not required.
