The timeline for developing the Diocesan Program Budget for 2024 was changed this year, and the Diocesan Council would like you to tell us how this timeline worked for you.
For your reference, the Diocesan Council tried out a new budget development timeline in 2023. The goal was to shorten the budget process so that applications were due July 5 (instead of in April), and convocations were able to study and give feedback on the budget in August and September. The Diocesan Council-approved budget was posted on the diocesan website by October 6 — three weeks before the Annual Meeting of the Diocesan Convention. This was a one-time experiment and was approved by the Bishop and the Diocesan Chancellor. View the 2024 Diocesan Budget Timeline.
