Dear Friends in Christ,
I write to share the news that Alli Gannett has resigned from her position as Director of Communications for the Episcopal Church in Western Oregon, effective January 21, 2024. She has accepted an offer to be the Communications Director for the World Forestry Center here in Portland and will begin her employment there on January 22.
In the three years of her time with this diocese, Alli has accomplished several major projects: the redesign of the diocesan logo, the redesign and implementation of our website, and leading the planning and execution of the Presiding Bishop’s visitation to our diocese are among her successes. Many of you know Alli because she has helped design your church website, or helped you speak to the media about an issue involving your church campus, or she responded to a request for help regarding an IT question. Most recently, she published several articles in the Digest about ministries that are taking place across the diocese. These articles told important stories about the good work of our churches and the life-giving impact they are having on their neighborhoods.
On our staff, Alli has solved problems with a sense of humor as well as expertise. Her ability to adapt and develop creative solutions has been an essential part of our work as a team. While we are sad to see her go, and we support her professional growth and development in pursuing this new opportunity. Please join me in wishing Alli well in her new endeavor.
