Do you know about Dachau?
Dachau was the first concentration camp for political prisoners established by the Nazi government in southern Germany. Over 200,000 prisoners were incarcerated in Dachau between 1933 and 1945. Scholars believe that at least 40,000 prisoners died there.
In her riveting book, “Letters from Dachau” Clarice Wilsey shares her father’s – U.S. Army doctor, David Wilsey – firsthand account of helping liberate the Dachau concentration camp in the spring of 1945 … An account that was only found after his death when Clarice found a box of letters and photos in the attic.
Join us as Clarice shares her father’s story on Sunday, October 1, at 11 AM, St Matthew's Episcopal Church, 4110 River Road, Eugene, OR
Clarice serves on the speakers bureau for two NW Holocaust museums. To date, God has opened doors for Clarice to promote Holocaust education and counter Holocaust denial, anti-Semitism, and hate. Her book is co-author with Bob Welch: Letters from Dachau, a father’s witness of war; a daughter’s dream of peace.
