Celebrate Mother Alcena Boozer’s 40th Ordination Anniversary

The Rev. Alcena Boozer was ordained to the priesthood 40 years ago this week. She was the first African American woman to become a priest in the state of Oregon and remains one of the most influential spiritual leaders in our diocese. Mother Alcena will preach this Sunday and St. Philip will hold a special coffee hour afterwards. All who know her, or have been touched by her ministry, are invited to celebrate with us.
