Forced Migration for LBGTQ+ to the US – A Forum

In response to a resolution passed at the 2022 General Convention, the Episcopal Migration Ministries created the Rainbow Coalition to spotlight forced migration of LGBTQ+ people to the US. All are invited to learn more about this issue and hear guest speaker Sahand, an Iranian-American who will share his story as an asylum seeker who as a young man was forced to make the difficult decision to leave his home country to seek safety in the US. Please join us as we learn about this important topic and reality for so many members of the LGBTQ+ community around the world and explore how we, as a faith community, can support LGBTQ+ people forced by persecution to migrate to the US.
