Good Grief: Processing Trauma Together

February 13 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

Good Grief: Processing Trauma Together at St. John the Evangelist in Milwaukee (Nov 14, Dec 12, Jan 9, & Feb 13).

The church is one of the few places that can hold grief compassionately and gracefully, helping us feel and grieve together just as Jesus did when his friend Lazarus died. Come walk the journey of grief together supported by friends across the Portland Metro area, guided by a professional grief counselor. We meet (IN PERSON) on the second Tuesday of the month. Each four-month session begins and ends with a brief liturgy to set aside this time to grieve together.

This group is free of charge, supported by the Episcopal Church in Western Oregon.

About the facilitator: The Rev’d Bell earned his M.Div from Harvard Divinity School in 2005, then led the Unitarian Universalist congregation in Santa Rosa, California for 15 years. He currently serves as the chaplain for VistaRiver Hospice in the Portland area and is a Zen dharma instructor under the tutelage of Roshi Rachel Mansfield-Howlett.
