St. Barnabas Holiday Tea – Sunday, December 3rd from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm.
The featured organization will be All Good Northwest, the non-profit that manages three Safe Rest Villages including the Multnomah Village site. The speaker will be Executive Director Andy Goebel. We will learn about how the Safe Rest villages are operated and how they help people move out of homelessness, build personal resiliency to succeed, and how we as a parish can support their efforts.
The event will be catered by Fresh Start Catering, operated by the women from Shepherd’s Door. The Women Of St. Barnabas will cover the catering cost so 100% of the ticket price of $25 will be contributed to All Good Northwest to help fund the purchase of Welcome Kits for new residents of the Safe Rest Villages.
In addition, we will have a Wish List of items to share with the parish for anyone who might want to donate supplies, clothing, snacks, etc. They manage an Amazon Wish List from which anyone can select items to purchase, and they are shipped directly to All Good Northwest.
Attendance will be limited to 50 people. Purchase your ticket after the 10am service beginning in early November or call the church office for information.
