Contemplative Labyrinth Activism: Theory & Experience

Ellen Bintz Meuch & Chris Katzenmeyer present the background & theory of intentional heart-based labyrinth walking. They will describe the what, why, and how of Labyrinth Activism, the science and recent data to support it, and ways it is used to heal communities and the world. Fee: $25, sliding scale.

About the presenters:
Chris Katzenmeyer is a prior Veriditas Board member and founder of the Legacy Labyrinth Project, an independent non-profit organization dedicated to building and energetically connecting labyrinths around the world for peaceful intention and healing. In 2021, the Legacy Labyrinth Project introduced the practice of Contemplative Labyrinth Activism based on their research with Baylor University and research done during World Labyrinth Day.

Ellen Bintz-Meuch is a Veriditas-certified facilitator who focuses on using the labyrinth as a tool for healing. She has worked with incarcerated people, and in 2005, she created the Global Healing Response to help the labyrinth community respond to disasters and emergencies. Ellen is the coordinator of World Labyrinth Day through the Labyrinth Society. She currently works with the Legacy Labyrinth Project as Director of the Labyrinth Activist Network.
