Paula Alva – soprano
Starting her music education in Trujillo, Peru, under the expert tutelage of soprano Martha Perez, Paula laid the foundation for her  journey into the world of classical singing. In 2017, she made the bold decision to relocate to the United States. Her career highlights include her portrayal of Berta in Rossini’s “The Barber of Seville” in Trujillo in 2018 and the first concert in the theater Víctor Raúl Lozano Ibáñez in the city of Trujillo. Paula’s commitment to her craft extends beyond performance; she has actively contributed to Florida’s opera scene as a member of Opera Naples.
Currently, Paula is pursuing a Master’s in Music Performance at the University of Oregon, under the mentorship of Dr. Camille Ortiz. Paula recently showcased her talent as Susanna in Ermanno Wolf-Ferrari’;s “Susanna” She is now eagerly preparing for her forthcoming role debut as Elvira in Mozart’s timeless “Don Giovanni,” scheduled to grace the stage next year.
Andrew Cannestra – piano
Pianist and composer Andrew Cannestra is the grand prize winner of the 2021 Aeolian Classics Emerging Artist Competition. His debut album, Mystic Pool, was released in 2022.
As a soloist, Andrew maintains an active performance schedule. Upcoming highlights include a performance of the Amy Beach Piano Concerto with the University of Oregon Symphony, the world premiere of Ryan Johnston’s Piano Concerto no. 1 with Boston-based Horizon Ensemble, and a recording of works by Josef Wieniawski. Andrew is a member of Eugene-based Oasis Ensemble, and has frequently appeared as a chamber musician at the Manchester Music Festival.
