Back by popular demand, join us for a morning of Native American drumming and singing as a means to connect with the spirit world. The Native American spiritual walk, like Christianity, teaches about the immanence of God in all creation. In-person only. Led by Father Joe Scheeler and the Traveling Day Society.
Please register here to attend.
About the facilitator: Father Joe Scheeler has served as Vicar at All Saints Episcopal Church in Vancouver, Washington, since 2015. He is also the Hospital Chaplain for Legacy Health in Salmon Creek, Washington. Prior to coming to Vancouver, he served as Canon for Native American Ministry at The Diocese of Montana. Father Joe is affiliated with the Lenape tribe in present-day Delaware and the Assiniboine/Nakota from Montana. The Traveling Day Society is a Spirit Society whose primary Vision and purpose is to help transition those who are crossing from the physical world into the spirit world in an easy, blessed, and graceful way. To accomplish this, we use the prayerful and beautiful voices of the Drum and the Native American Flute.
Contemplative Mini-Retreats take place every 3rd Saturday, 9:00 am-noon. Join us for meditation and contemplative prayer as we sit together in community, with time for reflection, learning, and support, with guest teachers to help us explore the contemplative path. Mini-retreats are free, but donations are gratefully accepted.
