Come to Astoria for summer learning about Christian Nationalism & Fundamentalism, what they are, why they’re popular now, the history and philosophies under-girding them, and most importantly: how we can have truly meaningful conversations with our neighbors whose beliefs differ from our own. The Rev. Peter Fritsch (of St. Christopher’s, Port Orford & St. James, Coquille) has a scholarly and pastoral approach to this important topic. A free-will offering will be received at Wednesday evening’s introductory talk (and sing-along!), $45/per person donation is requested for Thursday’s 2 talks, with conversation, a free afternoon to reflect and explore Astoria, followed by an evening potluck supper, a final talk on how we can act to build bridges, and a spirit-filled sing-along.
