The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) through Church Pension Group allows for the following Mental Health benefit:
EAP is included with all CPG medical benefits, or you can elect to participate for $4.00 per month if you are not covered under a CPG plan. EAP includes 10 free sessions of Talk Therapy, in-person or virtual. Each session must be pre-approved for a block of 10 sessions. Each topic the person wants to seek therapy for will prompt another 10 free sessions. The number of topics you can receive authorization to discuss with a therapist is unlimited. To see your therapist on the Kaiser 80 and BCBS PPO 80 plans, in 2025, there will be a co-pay required for mental health visits.
To see if your therapist qualifies, call 877-622-4327 or 800-554-6930 to get a list of available therapists in your area. If your therapist is not on the list, they can still participate. Therapists must register their credentials and sign a contract with EAP so they can direct bill EAP, instead of your insurance carrier. If you are seeking immediate help and have no provider yet, EAP will offer a telephone problem-solving call to help you with a plan of action until you have a therapist. These problem-solving calls are unlimited and at no cost to the member. All of your dependents are covered under this plan as well.
