Dear Friends in Christ,
I write to inform you that Sydney Fitzpatrick has resigned from her role as the Vice Chancellor for the Diocese of Oregon. Sydney first started in this role in 2016 with then Chancellor, Mike Dotten. Since then has worked closely with congregations throughout the diocese addressing legal questions and concerns regarding their property. Prior to her work as Vice Chancellor, Sydney served as the president of the Standing Committee, SAFE Church trainer for over 25 years, and on the Environmental Commission.
Sydney walked with congregations as they sought direction in selling their buildings. She has served above and beyond the call in many instances by making herself available to walk through properties, prepare them for sale, and work with realtors. Her dedication, attention to detail, and expertise have been invaluable to me and to the Board of Trustees. Above all, Sydney has always reflected a deep and abiding faith; her love for our diocese and the Episcopal Church has been a guiding light.
Please join me in thanking Sydney for her faithful dedication to this diocese, especially in her role as Vice Chancellor.
Yours in Christ,
